José A. Rodríguez leads Baker Tilly Puerto Rico with over 35 years of distinguished experience in public and private sector finance. He graduated with honors with a BBA in management and completed postgraduate studies in accounting.
Before joining Baker Tilly, José held senior leadership roles including vice president and controller at a major health insurance provider and manager at two Big Four accounting firms in Puerto Rico. His strategic leadership and industry insight guide our firm’s growth and client success.

Joel Díaz brings more than 27 years of auditing and financial expertise to Baker Tilly Puerto Rico. He holds a BBA in accounting with a minor in finance and economics, and an MBA with a concentration in finance, all completed with honors.
As leader of our Audit Department, Joel oversees engagements across a wide range of industries, ensuring our clients receive accurate, reliable, and actionable audit results tailored to their business needs.
Rafael Rivera Díaz, CPA, CGMA
Management Advisory Partner
Rafael Rivera Díaz is a key strategic advisor to our small business and manufacturing clients. He graduated with honors with a BBA in accounting and brings more than 27 years of public accounting experience.
As partner of the Management Advisory Services Division, Rafael leads initiatives in business consulting and financial planning, helping clients improve operational performance and long-term profitability.
Rafael E. Rivera, CPA, CGMA
Management Advisory – Litigation & Consulting Expert
Rafael E. Rivera is a seasoned consultant with over 50 years of experience in public accounting and business advisory services. He earned a BS in business administration from the University of Puerto Rico, graduating with honors.
He leads our litigation support and consulting practice, offering deep expertise in complex financial matters. He has been appointed arbitrator by the American Arbitration Association, and mediator, arbitrator, and neutral evaluator by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, reflecting his exceptional credibility and integrity in the field.
